Ingredients
Method
- Fill a saucepan about a quarter of the way with cold water. Place the eggs in a single layer at the bottom of the saucepan. Add enough water to cover the eggs by at least an inch to two inches.
- Turn the heat to high and bring the water to a rolling boil with the pan uncovered.
- Once boiling, cover the pot and remove it from heat. Let the eggs sit in hot water for about 12 minutes, adjusting based on your preferred doneness.
- Carefully drain the hot water and transfer the eggs to an ice bath or run cold water over them until cool to the touch. This stops the cooking process and makes peeling easier.
- Peel the eggs under running water for the best results! Store unpeeled eggs in a covered container in the fridge for up to 5 days and peeled eggs for 1-2 days. Enjoy your perfectly hard-boiled eggs!
