Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt; mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and oil. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
- Fill each donut cavity halfway with the batter. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow donuts to cool for 5 minutes before turning them out onto a wire rack.
- For the coating, melt the butter in a shallow dish. In another bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Dip each warm donut in the melted butter and then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.
- Serve warm or store in an airtight container for a few days.
